Mark Lester is a native of Northeast Florida and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Florida. Drawn to the quiet spaces found in nature, he works primarily in ceramics, incorporating glass, metal, and wood to create layered pieces that explore stillness, transition, and the spaces left behind when activity ceases. His work is often inspired by abandoned architecture and subtle natural formations.

Mark serves as Director of Education at the Armory Art Center, where he teaches and leads workshops throughout the Southeast. He will also speak about the Armory’s educational programs and exhibition opportunities.
