Event Description:

Artists of Palm Beach County is excited to partner with Car Team USA in Stuart to present a Big & Bold Exhibition that showcases the combined talents of Palm Beach and Martin County artists in a new environment. The Car Team USA venue is “industrial chic” with high ceilings, concrete walls, and pristine white tile floors – a dream for artists who paint Big & Bold! We encourage artists from both counties to submit from 30” x 24” to 8-1/2' high and 8' wide (minimum size is 20”  x 16”).  Contact Kat Penley at kpenley@kpenley.com to discuss larger works. We will also accept up to six 3-D works no larger than 3 ' x 3'. Pedestals for 3-D work must be supplied by the artist and approved by APBC. Any mediums are acceptable. However, no explicit sexual or political work is accepted.

All work must be for sale. NFS art is not allowed. NO GICLEES will be accepted.

All pieces larger than 30" wide must have d-rings 1/3 of the way down from the top of the stretcher, as a hanging system will be used.

SUBMISSION FEES: $25 for APBC Members; $35 for Nonmembers

SALES: Members will receive 75% of the gross sale.

Non-members will receive 65%

TERMS:
1) Applications only from the website will be accepted. No late entries are accepted.
2) Original ideas only - no copying of works.
3) Please do not submit work that is not ready to hang.
4) Work previously accepted in an APBC exhibit is eligible to be submitted again.
5) Entry fees are not refundable.
6) The decision of the jurors is final. Juried by the APBC Jurying Committee.
7) Make sure the emailed JPG images match the names listed on the entry form.
8) We recommend covering paper media with Plexiglas or non-breakable material.
9) Unframed works must be finished on all sides - no staples showing.
10) No damaged frames or mats; mats must be clean.
12) All installation methods, such as wire attached to frames, must be secure. All 2D pieces MUST
be wired on the back, with no saw tooth hangers.
13) All entries must be labeled on the back of the work with the artist's name, title of work,
medium, size, and price.
14) Minimum size is 20x16.  All hanging works that are more than 30 pounds will not be eligible.
15) APBC and Car Team USA will do their best to safeguard against theft, loss, breakage, or
other damage but will not be financially responsible for reimbursement of lost or damaged work.
16.) All exhibitors must sign the waiver included in the application at drop-off.
 

LABELING YOUR JPGS:

• JPG images of your work should be no larger than 3 MB each

• Please label the jpg file with artist name-title-size

• Example: Shane Hulbert-Last Stand-30 x 24.jpg. The standard is to list the height and then the

• width.

• If the work is framed, please include the frame in the size. However, the jpg should not include the frame for jurying.

• IF FILES ARE NOT LABELED CORRECTLY, THE WORK MAY BE REJECTED.
