ANDREA FACUSSE
Andrea Facusse is a Honduran visual artist and biologist based in Palm Beach County, Florida. Her work explores themes of identity, resilience, mental health, and social consciousness through figurative and abstract narratives. Using bold color, symbolic imagery, and layered textures, she creates visual spaces where personal experience and collective meaning intersect.
Facusse frequently works on recycled canvas and incorporates both traditional and non-traditional materials, emphasizing transformation and renewal within her practice. Her work often features static, contemplative figures set against richly detailed, abstract environments, reflecting the tension between inner emotional states and external realities.
In recent work, she has begun integrating AI-generated imagery as a contemporary tool to expand her exploration of identity and evolving modes of expression.
She has exhibited widely throughout Florida and is a former Artist Resident at the Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach. Through her work, Facusse seeks to challenge traditional narratives of femininity and beauty while fostering dialogue around strength, self-definition, and human connection.
