
CALL FOR PALM BEACH COUNTY AND TREASURE COAST ARTISTS

EVENT DESCRIPTION: Building on the success of Big & Bold 1, Artists of Palm Beach County is excited to partner for the second time with Car Team USA in Stuart to present the Big & Bold 2 exhibition, showcasing the combined talents of
Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast artists in a new environment. The CarTeam USA venue is “industrial chic” with high ceilings, concrete walls, and pristine white tile floors – a dream for artists who paint Big & Bold. We encourage artists to submit three works sized 30” x 24” to 96” x 120” (with a minimum size of 30” x 24”). We will also accept some 3-D works no larger than 3 ft by 3 ft. Pedestals for 3-D work must be supplied by the artist and approved by APBC. All work must be for sale.
No explicit sexual or political work is accepted.
Call opening: Sunday, 6/1/2025
Submission deadline: Sunday, 8/31/2025 (Submit up to three artworks.)
Notification to artists: On or before Monday, 9/15/2025
Delivery of artwork: Friday, 9/26/25 and Saturday, 9/27/25, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Opening reception: Thursday, 10/9/2025, 5 - 7 p.m.
Closing reception: Thursday, 2/26/2026, 5 - 7 p.m.
Artwork pickup: Saturday, 2/28/2026, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

SUBMISSION FEES: $30 for APBC Members; $40 for Non-Members

Car Team USA is sponsoring the exhibition without compensation, allowing all sales proceeds to benefit the artists and Artists of Palm Beach County.
APBC Membership is $50/year, VIP Membership is $100 a year, and Lifetime Membership is a one-time $ 1,000. If you wish to join APBC or renew your membership, if it has lapsed, go to https://www.artistsofpalmbeachcounty.org/membership to update BEFORE you enter this exhibit.
No applications will be accepted after the deadline of August 31.
It will be juried by the Artists of Palm Beach County Jurying Committee.​
SALES: APBC Members will receive 75% of the gross sale. Non-members receive 65%.
Please price your work accordingly. The price you submit cannot be changed.

TERMS:
1. Applications only from the website will be accepted. No late entries are accepted.
2. Original ideas only - no copying of works or artworks created with Artificial Intelligence.
3. Original works only - no giclees allowed. If giclees are available, this can be noted on the label.
4. Work previously shown in an APBC exhibit (other than Big & Bold 1) is eligible to be submitted again.
5. Minimum size is “30 x 24.” NO hanging works weighing more than 30 pounds.
6. Please do not submit work that is not ready to hang.
7. We recommend covering paper media with Plexiglas or non-breakable material.
8. Unframed works must be gallery wrapped, finished on all sides, and no staples showing.
9. No damaged frames or mats; mats must be clean.
10. All installation methods, such as wire attached to frames, must be secure. Use D-rings for works over 36”. All 2D pieces MUST be wired on the back, with no sawtooth hangers.
11. Make sure the emailed JPG images match the names listed on the entry form.
12 It is juried by the APBC Jurying Committee, and the jury’s decision is final. Please be aware that APBC officers and the exhibition committee are all volunteers.
13. Artists of Palm Beach County, Inc. and Car Team USA will do their best to safeguard against theft, loss, breakage, or other damage; however, they will not be financially responsible for reimbursement of lost or damaged work.
14. Exhibitors must bring a completed and signed Exhibition Form, which includes a Waiver of Liability and Photo-release agreement, and labels attached to the front and back of their work, when they drop it off. YOU WILL RECEIVE THE EXHIBITION FORM AND LABELS ALONG WITH AN ACCEPTANCE LETTER IF YOUR WORK IS ACCEPTED.
15. Entry fees are nonrefundable.
16. Artwork must be dropped off and picked up at the designated times or other arrangements must be made in advance. If the artwork is not picked up, it will be considered abandoned and become the property of APBC to dispose of at its discretion.
17. A Zoom meeting of accepted artists will be held to discuss sales and marketing opportunities.
LABELING YOUR JPGS:
• JPG images of your work should be no larger than 3 MB each
• IMPORTANT! Label the JPG: Artist first name-Artist last name-title-size-price.
• Example: Jane Doe-Colors-30"x40"-$2500.jpg. The standard is to list the height and then the width (see example).
• If the work is framed, please include the frame size. However, the JPG should NOT include the frame for jurying. The standard is to list the height, then the width
